Dale H. Anderson, 87, of Muncy, died Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at his home.

Cause of death cardiopulmonary arrest.

Born December 11, 1933 in Williamsport, he was the only child of the late Harold and Lois (Tobias) Anderson. On Aug. 31, 1988, he married the former Kathleen Whalen, who survives. Together they celebrated 33 years of marriage.

Dale was a 1952 graduate of Williamsport High School and a 1959 graduate of Lycoming College, where he received a degree in business administration and economics. He received his master's degree from Alfred University, NY. Dale served honorably with the U.S. Army stationed in Germany during the Korean War. Earlier in life, he was a business teacher in New York, and later retired from Fowler Motors, Williamsport.

Dale was a member of Pennsdale Trinity United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Roland Ritter American Legion Post 268, Muncy and the Loyal Order of Moose #866 Muncy Valley.

He was a proud Eagle Scout and enjoyed fishing, gardening and traveling. Dale was an avid reader. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three children and their spouses, Julie Letcher (Randy McCurdy), of Orwigsburg, Sharon (Jim) Burkhardt, of Orwigsburg, Dr. Dale II (Heather) Anderson, of Stamford, CT; three step daughters and their spouses, Lucy (Dan) McHugh, of Hadden Township, NJ, Melissa Hampton, of Hughesville and Beth (David) Donovan, of Collegeville; and 11 grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Grenoble's, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with his minister, Pastor Richard DeMarte, officiating.

Burial with full military honors will follow in the Muncy Cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to the Pennsdale Trinity United Methodist Church, 658 Village Rd., Pennsdale, PA 17756.
