Jo Ann Branch of Paragould, Arkansas, died Monday, December 3, 2007 at St. Bernard's Medical Center.
She was born December 14, 1934, the first child of Hobert and Etta Eagle Dortch. She grew up in the Rector, Marmaduke area as well as Detroit, Michigan. She was a graduate of Marmaduke High School where she was a cheerleader.
She was employed by the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service until the birth of her first children when she became a consummate homemaker, a craft at which she excelled.
She and her husband, Robert B. Branch, Sr. had four children, Bruce Branch and Crete Rhodes, twins, Jeff Branch and Alice Lee. Jo and Bob have eight grandchildren.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents, and by her sister, June Gibson, and brother, Jerry Dortch.
She is survived by her husband, her four children and eight grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Larry Dortch.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 7, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, Paragould, under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home. Interment will be at Linwood Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.
