He was a member of Maple Grove Reformed Glorious Church of God and retired from Guy Frye and Son Construction Company.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jessie Mae Pettyjohn Williams, two sons Michael Williams and Donald Ray Williams, four sisters and three brothers.
He leaves to cherish loving memories his children Mary (John) Eskridge of Hickory, N.C., Florce Williams of Newton, N.C., Sylvia L. Williams, Linda W. Bell and Tommy Williams all of Hickory, N.C.; siblings Mary Chaulk of New York, Eva Jennings of Newton, N.C., Curtis Williams of Sherrills Ford, N.C., Billy Williams of Fayetteville, N.C. and Betty Crawford of Ohio; eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Greater Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 3147 12th Avenue SE, Hickory, N.C. 28602 with the Rev. Marcus T. Williams, Sr. officiating and Evangelist Tressie Bolden, Eulogist. There will be a public viewing from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery.
