Clarence "Bill" William Baker, age 76 of New Martinsville, WV died Saturday, September 25, 2021 in Wetzel County Hospital, New Martinsville.
He was born November 29, 1944 in Wetzel County, WV the son of the late Bernard and Alberta Huff Baker.
He was a retired US Postal Service Mail Carrier, having delivered rural routes; owner of the former Bill's Auto Repair; and a former employee of Mahone & Norris Tire.
Bill was a Christian by faith; a member of Wetzel Lodge #39 AF & AM and the former Sistersville Lodge #27 AF & AM; a life-long mechanic, who enjoyed working on vehicles and tractors; and he also enjoyed hunting, woodworking, and farming.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Billie Ann Baker; a brother, Lionel Baker; and two sisters, Brenda Yoho and Marva Kimble.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Garnet Baker; a daughter, Bonnie (Dave) During of New Martinsville; a grandson, Cory (Tara Cecil) Durig of New Martinsville; a great-grandson, Ranger Durig; several nieces and nephews and many friends that he treasured.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 5th from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 -3rd St., New Martinsville where funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 6th at 11am with Jeff Taylor officiating.
Interment in Northview Cemetery, New Martinsville where Wetzel County Lodge #39 AF & AM will conduct Masonic Graveside Services.
