John Earl Mauck age 63 of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday December 11, 1990 in the Grim-Smith Hospital in Kirksville. He was born August 15, 1927 in Adair County, the son of Ancie M. and Cassie Floy Moore Mauck. On January 18, 1946 in Kirksville he married Mary B. Helton and she survives. Also surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Denise and Tim Treasure of Kirksville; three bothers, Foster Mauck, Johannasburg, Michigan, Ronald Mauck of Sacramento, California, and Marion Mauck of Galesburg, Illinois; two sisters, Mary Wright of Independence, Missouri and Mildred Pipes of Abbottsford, Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Andrew Burton Treasure, Jody Galen Treasure and Christina Lynn Treasure, all of Kirksville and several nieces and nephews.
John was a graduate of the Brashear High School in 1945 and the Gem City Business College in 1947. John was employed for the Doc Haggard Oil Company in Kirksville for 29 years, J.Burdman Auto Parts for 2 years and the past 11 years had worked at the Pepsi Cola Memphis Bottling Company in Kirksville where he had been Office and Plant Manager. His whole life was spent in the Kirksville area with the exception of time spent in college and the time he served in the U.S. Army during 1945. John was a member of the Paulville Masonic Lodge #319 A.F. & A.M., Hurdland, The York Rite Bodies of Kirksville Caldwell Chapter 53, Kirksville Council #44 and Ely Commandery #22. He was also a member of the Moila Shrine, the El Kadir Shrine and the Kirksville Chapter #184 Order of the Eastern Star and AAONMS Legion of Honor (Shrine). John enjoyed woodworking and collecting Pepsi memorabiia. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kirksville.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday December 13, 1990 in the Hudson-Rimer Park View Chapel in Kirksville with the Rev. Dr. David M. Webster conducting the services. Entombment will be in the Good Shepherd Mausoleum in Park View Memorial Gardens.
Music will be provided by Carlyle Walker singing "In The Garden" and "Amazing Grace". He will be accompanied by Dianthe Cable.
Pallbearers will be bob Barrett, Waldo McFarland, Roy Fortney, Rich Newman, Ron Person and Bob Barrickman.
Honorary bearers will be Philip Roberts, Ellis Jones, Frank Eskra and Bob Blackstad.
