Carol June was born August 11, 1945 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Owen and Irene Williams McConnell.
Forever changing her life, Carol accepted Jesus as her Savior when she was 11 years of age. She had been a member of Stillwater Bible church for the past few years.
Carol attended Pernell public schools for 12 years, then graduated from East Central State College with an Education degree.
On August 14, 1965, Carol married James David White. After 12 years, they welcomed their only child, Dava Renee. The marriage spanned 38 years and 3 months, until James passed away on November 16, 2003.
Carol was an elementary school teacher for 15 1/2 years. In the years to follow, she pursued several opportunities in sales such as Farmers Insurance, Arbonne, and her own real estate company. She also loved teaching young adult Sunday School classes. Other interests included singing, Oklahoma State sports, traveling with Dava, and participating in many activities at Legacy Village of Stillwater, where she loved living for the past year and a half.
Carol McConnell White died and went to be with her Lord Wednesday, September 29, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James; her parents, Owen and Irene McConnell; and her husband's parents, J.D. and Lorene White. Survivors include her daughter Dava White of Stillwater; 3 brothers: Glenford and Joyce McConnell of Pernell, OK; Derald and Pat McConnell of Springtown, TX; and Bill and Denny McConnell of Oklahoma City; sister-in-law, Ann White of Stillwater.
Funeral services are scheduled at Stillwater Bible Church. Interment will be at the Foster Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
