Grace and Ira appear on the 1900 United States census record living Syracuse, Onondaga, New York with their young son, Glenn Abbott. Grace's brother, Grover, is living with them. Grover appears twice on that census with his sister in Syracuse on June 4th and with his widowed mother in Clay on June 7th.

Obituary.
Mrs. Ira Abbott.
Mrs. Ira Abbott, aged 21 years, died quite suddenly last evening at her home, 301 Hayden ave. She had been ill for some time, but her condition was not considered serious until 10 o'clock last evening. At that time she was ceased by convulsions, from which she died soon after. She leaves a husband and one child.

Mortuary Notes.
Brief funeral services of Mrs. Ira Abbott of 301 Hayden-ave. will be held at 9:30 a. m. to-morrow at her late home, 301 Hayden-ave. The remains will then be taken to Cigarville, where services will be held to-morrow afternoon at the home of her parents. Burial will be at Pine Plains.
There is no marker at Grace's resting place.
Note: Cigarville was absorbed by the town of Clay over the years.
