Linda was born on February 19, 1957 to the late Ambrosio and Ynocencia (Ramirez) Barboza in Wichita Falls. After graduating from Wichita Falls High School in 1975, she moved to Irving and worked for a bank. Linda then moved back to Wichita Falls and started working for the Wichita Falls Housing Authority on August 28, 1991, where she met Rodney Moon. They married on August 4, 1995. She joined the Wichita County Clerk's office on November 21, 1997 and went on to become a supervisor. Upon her death, Linda was one of the longest county employees for Wichita County and made many friends with her winning smile and her desire to help others. Linda enjoyed fishing, going to garage sales, and watching movies at the drive ins. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Linda lived her life for Jesus and never missed an opportunity to share her faith. One of her favorite songs was Jesus Loves Me and she sang it to each of her grandchildren. She was stubborn, a trait her children share, but she had the biggest heart. She left a light in everyone's life even if they only met for a moment and the world is a little darker without her.
Along with her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her sister Lydia Jean Bustillos and brother Johnny Barboza. Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Rodney Moon; son, Miguel Catalan and wife, Rosa; daughter, Krystle Barboza; two stepdaughters, Kathleen Price and Kristina Moon; three grandchildren, Michael Catalan, Mercedes Catalan, and Serena Catalan; two brothers, Ambrosio Barboza (Sylvia) and Frank Barboza (Yolanda); numerous other family members, friends, coworkers, and church members.
The Catalan and Barboza family would like to give a special Thank You to Wichita County for honoring Linda with a beautiful goodbye. There are no words to express the magnitude of our loss, but we know she was watching and smiling. We love you with all of our hearts, Mom. We miss you. - Miguel Antonio & Krystle Leigh
