Linda M. Patterson, 69, of Springfield died at 9:56 am, Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at her home. She was born August 14, 1952 in Carlinville to Floyd and Edna (Schaaf) Drew. She married Edward Patterson February 12, 1983 and he preceded her in death May 22, 1999.
She is survived by a son, Michael (fiance' Carly Hinds) Boblitt of Chatham; eight grandchidren, Shawn Michael, Ashley Marie, Michael Allen, Emily Elizabeth, Nicholas Alexander, Isaac Henry, Jerzi Elyse and Calin Jacob; mother, Edna Ealey of Girard; three sisters, Sharon (Paul) Mueller of Tucson, AZ, Janet (Kenneth) McLeod of Girard and Kelly (Cindy) Fernandez of Virden; two brothers, Richard Wayne Drew of Girard and Timmy Drew of Springfield and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father; one brother, James Lee and one sister, Mary Hogan.
Linda was a member of the Eagles, the Auxiliary to the American Postal Workers and the Aqua Club. She enjoyed playing Bunco and traveling to Las Vegas with her friends.
She worked at St. John's Hospital and retired from Franklin Life Insurance Company.
The family will host a graveside service at 12:00 pm, Friday, October 8, 2021 at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
The family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date.
