Terry Lee Godwin, age 68, of Groves, Texas passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont, Texas.

He was born on February 23, 1953 in Magnolia, Arkansas to his parents, O. D. "Jack" Godwin and Marlene Richardson Godwin.

Terry has been a lifelong resident of the area. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. Terry retired from Valero as a process operator after 38 years of service. He was a loving and caring father and husband. Terry loved fishing, especially in tournaments in his younger days. He loved hunting and being in the outdoors. Terry was gifted in woodworking and made several pieces of furniture for his beloved wife, Kay.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Kay Godwin of Groves, his daughter, Crystal Godwin of Groves, his son, Gary Godwin and his wife, Patsy of Lumberton, Texas, his granddaughter, Kerstie Godwin, his two sisters, Mary Moreland and Jackie Riley both of Dallas, Texas, his brother, Jerry Godwin of Beaumont, his step-mother, Patricia Godwin Carver of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi and his step-brother, Chris Griffin of Mauriceville, Texas,along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 1~2pm at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves.

Service to honor Terry's life will follow at 2pm in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas ~
