Born May 26, 1951 in Guin, AL, she is the daughter of the late James Mitchell and Lois Elizabeth Gilmore Motes and the wife of Ralph Gann. Brenda was a member of Mt. Willing Free Will Baptist Church. She was the youngest of four children. She was very active with the national guard as the FRG president for many years. She was an ardent Republican and loved her country. Brenda was a homemaker, loved to cook, take care of her flowers, and mostly her family.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Gann of Jasper; son Charles Hughes of Pennsylvania; daughter, Crystal Lee (Joseph) of Dora; Grandchildren, Reese Hughes, Tyler Hughes, Keegann Lee; Great grandson Aiden Hughes; Brother Wayne Motes of Vancleave MS.
She was preceded by her parents, James and Lois Motes; Her sister Ann Hughes; Brother Billy Ray Motes.
Services will be held Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 3:00 PM from the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Guin, AL with Burial in the Mt. Willing Cemetery. Bro. Heath Webb officiating.
