John Junior Franklin, 79, of Appomattox, died Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born in Appomattox County, VA, on January 6, 1942, he was the son of the late Violet Lee Carrico Franklin and Jesse James Franklin. He was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church and a retired tobacco farmer.
Junior is survived by his sister, Virginia Lee Demers and her husband, Pete of Appomattox; a nephew, J. R. Demers and his wife, Melanie of Evington; and many cousins.
A memorial service officiated by Pastor Todd Estes will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Evergreen Baptist Church.
