Joyce Marie Nielsen, age 78, of Fayetteville, Arkansas died Sunday, September 26, 2021.
She was born February 11, 1943 in Fayetteville, the daughter of Hilbert Hison and Cassie Rene (Hardesty) Higinbothom.
She loved to sew and make quilts. She also loved gardening. She loved to laugh and have fun. She was a collector of all kinds of treasures and loved to display them at home.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Nielsen; four daughters, Charlotte, Pam, Melissa and Tricia; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; a brother, Will Higinbothom (and his wife, Trisha) of Fayetteville; and a sister, Carol Perkins (and her husband, Donnie) of West Fork, Arkansas.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Moore's Chapel, in Fayetteville.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 1, 2021 at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Dylan Gayer, Joshua East, Connor Hanning, Jacob Linson and Joshua Holland.
