Hazel McKee Johnson, 82, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky died at 10:08 a.m., Sunday, September 26, 2021 at her home.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Rev. David Tucker officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral on Thursday at the funeral home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A native of Falkner, Mississippi she was born on August 26, 1939 the daughter of the late Woodrow McKee and Ola Hopkins McKee. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Carol Johnson in 2016.

She worked in public relations for Planters Bank, was a Pink Lady at Jennie Stuart Medical Center, a member of the Queens Court Homemaker's Club and was a member of Second Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son: Fred (Deena) Dean of Middleton, TN; her daughters, Kim Dean of Hopkinsville, KY, Tracy (Patrick) Dean Cummins of Cedar Park, TX and Pam Dean Wimer of Tucson, AZ; her sister, Patti (Don) Shelton of Collierville, TN. Three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
