Mr. Michael Monroe Windham, age 70, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Monroe County Hospital in Monroeville, Ala.

Mr. Windham was born in Monroe County, Ala. where he remained a lifelong resident. He was the environmental services manager of maintenance for 31 years at Monroe County Hospital, retired maintenance from Monroe Academy after 10 years and a deacon at Woodlawn Methodist Church.

Preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jo Windham; a sister, Cheryl Lynn Mooney; and two uncles, Harry Jones and Malcolm Jones.

Survivors include: his wife, Danna Windham of Monroeville, Ala.; his father, E.M. "Dee" Windham, Jr. of Repton, Ala.; two daughters, Timi Windham Mallinson and husband, Jeffery of Montgomery, Ala. and Andrea Windham Guy; three sisters, Pat W. Hames and husband, Jim of Franklin, Ala., Amy W. Brock Qualls of Frisco City, Ala. and Deanna W. McCrory and husband, Larry of Mexia, Ala.; six grandchildren, Christian Michael Mallinson, Jeffery Austin Mallinson, Timothy Logan Mallinson, Nova Windham Guy, Uri Bay Guy, and Tenon Harmony Guy; four great-grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Darby and Rev. Kenneth Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Pineville Cemetery in Monroeville, Ala. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Pilots for Christ.
