In both 1850 and 1860, Taylor Barr lived in Irwin, Venango, PA with his parents and siblings.
Taylor Barr married Margaret Craig in 1869. He was 22 years old and Maggie was 16. The couple had 3 children. Their son was John Taylor Barr (1871- 1930) & their 2 daughters were Nora Loretta Barr (Crittenden) (1869-1928) and Eva Mae Barr (Meeker) (1874-deceased).
In the 1880's Mr. Barr listed his occupation as an Engineer and was living in Bear Lake, Michigan.
In the 1900's Mr. Barr decided to make the choice to become a Farmer, still living near Bear Lake, Manistee County in Onekama Township, Michigan, with his wife Maggie.
The couple remained married for 35 years, until Mr. Barr, far too young, at the age of 60, passed away.
At the time of his death, Mr. Barr lived in Onekama Township in Manistee County, Michigan.
His death was reported by a George W Barr, also of Onekama, presumably his brother.

*Even though the inscription portion of this gravestone states that Taylor Barr was in Company C, the only records that I can find is that he was in Company A. He could have started in one Company and depending on how many wounded or casualties were suffered by that Company, been combined into another. Also, without an actual photograph of the gravestone I can't truly confirm if the inscription is correct or not. Photo has been requested.
