LINCOLN - Carl L. Benedict, 67, of Lincoln, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at his home.
No services are scheduled. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Benedict retired from Saint-Gobain Containers in Lincoln after 38 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Carl Lee Benedict was born April 21, 1943, in Lincoln, a son of C. Fred and Ada Mae Kinney Benedict. He married Laura A. Long on April 8, 1993, in Lincoln.
He is survived by his wife; his father; his children, Rhonda (and Clayton) Reed and Carey Benedict; stepchildren, B.J. Atchison and Billy Atchison; three brothers, Robert (and Dorothy) Benedict, Gene (and Kay) Benedict and Dean (and Norma) Benedict; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He is a member of American Legion Post 263 and a former member of Moose Lodge 1441 in Lincoln. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1961.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Center.
