After a short battle (7 months) with esophageal cancer, Tom Foster of Fairfax, Virginia passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at his home surrounded by his wife and children. Tom was born on March 20, 1956 in Alexandria, Virginia and was raised in Fairfax, Virginia. He was the only child of the late Ralph and Jane "Chrys" (Loveless) Foster. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Anne Galloway Foster, and together they raised 3 beautiful children: Carrie Anne, Jenna Marie, and Michael Thomas Foster. He loved encouraging them in all of their endeavors and was always there for support.
Tom worked for Immigrations and Customs Enforcement as the Team Lead for the ICE Cyber Threat Intelligence Team. He had a very successful career in IT Security with several companies throughout his lifetime. He enjoyed spending time at the family farm, cheering on the Virginia Tech Hokies, family vacations, loving his dogs Zoe, Milo and Ellie, and playing with his grand nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Tom's life will be held at Fairfax Community Church (11451 Braddock Road, Fairfax, VA 22030) on Friday February 2nd at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cancer Research Institute (www.cancerresearch.org)
