Andrea Sue Lewis
July 9, 1948 ~ September 26, 2021 (age 73)

Andrea Sue Lewis, 73, of High Point, entered her heavenly home on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at her home. Born July 9, 1948, in Winston-Salem, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Spurgeon Hines and the late Pansy Odessa Hines.

Sue grew up in Wallburg, graduating from Ledford High School in 1966 where she made countless dear friends. She treasured her high school friends and was known as the heart and anchor that kept their group together over the years. Sue cherished the times that she and many of the ladies from high school would gather for lunch.

Sue worked for over 30 years at RJR with her last few years in the Sales and Marketing Materials Operations department and made many life-long friends with people that she worked with. This past year Sue worked at the Westchester Village as the office assistant where she enjoyed helping and serving the residents of the community.

She was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church. Love of God, family and friends were the most important things in her life. Sue will be remembered by those who knew her for her beautiful smile and her kind heart.

Left to cherish her memory are her son Scott Lewis (Kim); two grandchildren, Ashley Bridges and Justin Lewis; and three great grandsons, Jalen, Samir and Nehemiah Bridges. Being a mom and Grammy gave her tremendous joy.

There will not be a formal visitation, however Ms. Lewis will lie in repose from 1pm to 4pm on Thursday, September 30 at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Wallburg for those of the community who wish to pay their respects. At a later day, a private service for immediate family will be held at Shady Grove United Methodist Church in Wallburg with Pastor Mike Lee officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Shady Grove United Methodist Church (167 Shady Grove Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27107).
