Susie was born in Surry County on July 24, 1967 to Ralph Edward Carter and Sylvia Ayers Carter.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Edward Carter, her husband, Billy Joe Hawkins.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Corey Hawkins of Elkin, mother, Syliva Carter, brother, Keith Carter and wife Michelle, sister, Kim Foley, of Elkin.
Funeral Services will be held, Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. December 10, 2019, at Johnson Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at New Covenant Baptist Church Cemetery in Hays.
