Sonja left this life in the quiet early hours of December 2nd to the arms of her Father in Heaven. Sonja endured valiantly many challenges throughout her life. We are grateful for the peace she now has and the reunion she is enjoying with loved ones who have gone before her. Sonja was born to Harvey and Callie Christensen in Monroe, Utah on September 16th, 1942. She enjoyed growing up in Monroe, returning there often, and always held it close to her heart. She enjoyed being active in school as a cheerleader for South Sevier High, she had a love for the piano and played it often. She enjoyed drama and reciting poems.

She married Harold Lamont Moore Jr. on November 6, 1961. She cared for three young children, while Harold served his country in the USAF. She served in many capacities for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout her life. She taught her girls the value and importance of service, to love others and give unconditionally. Mom often loved to tease, always followed up by her wry smile. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and listening to their many stories.

Survived by her husband, Harold, daughters Kristina (Jay) Carpenter, Sheri (Blaine) Holmes, four grandchildren and two brothers and a sister. She is preceded in death by daughter Lori, a son in law Tom, a brother, a sister and her parents.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 7th at 2:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, where friends may call from 12:00-1:30 p.m. prior to services.
Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
