Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Lowe, 93, of McAllen, formerly of Henderson, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday September 30, 2021 in the chapel of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home in Henderson. Interment will follow at Laneville Cemetery under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home.
A rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the funeral home
Dorothy Yvonne Lowe, 93, passed away September 24th, 2021, in McAllen, Texas. Dorothy was born August 14th, 1928 in Saratoga, New York, to parents John P. and Marion C. LeRoux. She lived her earlier years in Albany, before moving to McAllen, Texas in 1964. Dorothy was an outgoing person who loved to joke, play the slot machines, and talk on the phone. She enjoyed traveling and meeting new people. She had a large personality, with a boisterous laugh to match.
She was proceeded in death by her husband of 20 years, John D. Lowe Jr. of Henderson, TX, brothers Jack and Billy LeRoux of New York, granddaughter Tricia Tijerina of Texas, and great-grandson Cody Carrothers of Texas.
Dorothy is survived by her four children, Terry Carrothers (Chris) of Albany, NY, Carol Latham of Fredricksburg, TX, Patricia Felici of McAllen, TX, and Lynne LeBow (Dan) of Henderson, TX. She was a grandmother to 10 grandchildren, Michael Carrothers, Bryan Carrothers (Jen), Kristen Donnellan (Chris), Michael Stout, Jr., Michelle Vredenburgh (Fred), Shannon Pena (Renee), Crystal Visintine (John), Casey LeBow (Krista), Andrea LeBow, Heather Lewis (Patrick), and 22 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dan LeBow, Casey LeBow, Patrick Lewis, Turner LeBow, Michael Stout, Jr., and Frank Tagle. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Visintine, Rene Pena, Steve Molina, and R. D. Wittner.
