Julie Ann Riley, 65, of Traverse City, passed away June 12, 2020 with her loving father Joseph Riley and her nephew Jonathan by her side.
Julie was born in Traverse City to the late Mary Ellen (Wilson) Riley on Nov. 11, 1954. Julie was the oldest of two daughters.
For a number of years Julie worked at the Salvation Army in Traverse City which was a true calling for her. She had great satisfaction in serving others.
Julie was a compassionate and caring person thinking of everyone before herself. She treasured the family dogs she had over the years and spoiled them with love. She will be forever remembered as a woman whom lived selflessly and provided encouraging words, hugs and smiles to all.
Julie is survived by her father Joe, her sister Shelly Lyn (Don) Howland, her niece, Jennifer; nephew, Jonathan; great nieces and nephews, Jordan, Jaylynn and Ryder; her previous husband, David Flees and very dear friends, Paula Harrinton and Reverend Greg Irwin; whom will be officiating the service.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ellen and her second mom, Ann Marie Riley, whom was one of her best friends.
A memorial service will take place Thursday, June 25, 2020, at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home at 11 a.m.with visitation one-hour prior. Julie will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery with her mother.
Julie and her family are being cared for by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
