Christy K. Cook, 52, passed away early September 23, 2021 at the Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. She was born on December 2, 1968 in Muncie the daughter of Volney Allen and Alice Marie (Young) Stellwag.
Christy attended Muncie Community Schools and later worked for Liberty Village Health Care Center in the Laundry and Housekeeping Depts. Mrs. Cook enjoyed playing Bingo and taking care of her pet Shitzu dog Momo.
Survivors include her husband, Nicholas Cook, Greenfield; one daughter, Amber Clay (Andrew), Marion; four sons, Mark Stellwag (Stephaney), Alexandria, Anthony Stellwag (Whitney), Elwood, Zachary Swafford, New Mexico and Christian Swafford, Westville; four sisters, Linda Campbell (Joe), Muncie, Alice J. Skinner (Ron), Muncie, Cindy B. Sigler (Randy), Alexandria and Tina Beard, Anderson; one brother, Danny Mitchell (Lisa), Gladewater, Texas; four brothers, Tom Stellwag (Bonnie), Florida, Paul Stellwag (Debbie) Muncie and Joe Stellwag (Julie), Muncie; several grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents,
Cremation is being done with a private burial of ashes at a later date at Beech Grove Cemetery. Parson Mortuary Cremation Center is entrusted with these arrangements.
