John L. Wesley, 74, of Bristol, passed away at home on Sunday, September 19, 2021.

John was born September 23, 1946 in South Bend to the late Donald and Doris (Annis) Wesley. He grew up in Niles and Edwardsburg and was a graduate of Edwardsburg High School.

On February 14, 1976, John married Barbara Ann Brown at Willow Creek United Methodist Church in Mishawaka. The couple have lived most of their married life in Bristol.

John's favorite passion was flying. He was a commercial pilot and instructor. Over the years, John owned a charter freight service and a flying service. He enjoyed attending air shows and was active with the Goshen Air Show. John also liked computers and was self-employed for many years in computer repair.

John is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barb of Bristol; a sister, Ann Marie (Kenneth) Thompson of Ogen Dunes, Indiana; and one niece and one nephew.

John was preceded in death by two sisters, Maureen and Mary Kay Wesley.

Private burial will take place at Smith's Chapel Cemetery, Niles.

Memorials are suggested to the family to assist with final expenses.
