Jamie was a beloved father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend. He was well known in the community for his love of mustangs and passion for paint and body work. His favorite hobbies were, spending time with family and friends, walks on the beach, bicycle rides, RC Cars, drag-racing, four-wheeling, and going on mountain vacations.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann New; his sister, Suzanne New-Stokley; and two grandchildren, Jaleigh and Zaryiah.
Jamie is survived by his best friend, companion, and partner, Margaret Ann Etheridge; five sons: Derrick New of Shallotte, Christopher New (CJ) of Shallotte, Zackary New of Tabor City, and Nicklas New of Tabor City; two daughters, Tiffany New of Winston Salem and Krissalyn New of Tabor City; four grandchildren: Leliah, Isaiah, Hansley, and Hayden; his father, Billy James New, Sr. of Tabor City; his sister, Mechelle New-Nonnenberg of Indiana; two loving nieces, Candace and Amber; and one nephew, Johnny.
The funeral services will be held in Revels Funeral Home Lumberton, 3575 N Roberts Ave, Lumberton, NC 28360. The burial services will be held at Gardens of Faith Cemetery, Lumberton, NC 28360.
