PEGGY JANE CONN CURTIS, age 80, of Decherd, Tenn., departed this life on Monday, September 27, 2021, at her residence following an extended illness. Ms. Curtis was born on March 31, 1941, to the late Oliver Edward Conn and Rose Ella Adcock Conn. She was a member of the Decherd Church of Christ. Ms. Curtis was employed for 20 years at the former Decherd Franklin Apparel as a Quality Control Inspector. She then left and was employed for approximately 10 years by Dr. and Mrs. George Eckles as their family assistant, homemaker and caregiver to their children. She then retired at age 68. She loved reading, writing and watching U.T. Football. She will be remembered as a loving, caring and compassionate mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Curtis was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Curtis and son, Dennis Curtis. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Henson of Decherd, Grandson, Jason Henson of Decherd, and granddaughter, Jennifer Henson of Winchester. Brother, Mark Conn of Decherd, nieces; Beverly Zeman and Ginger Archey both of Decherd, Cousin, Mark Bassett of Decherd.
Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 29, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Chaplin, Mark Bassett, officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon on Wednesday prior to service time at 2:00.
Interment will follow in the Mt. Garner Cemetery.
