Harold was born May 11, 1953 in Muskogee, OK the son of Arliss Lee and Patricia Beatrice (Ryan) Murphy. He was married to Brenda Kay Shipley in 1980.
He was a jokester and enjoyed telling jokes and stories to anyone he met. He loved being outdoors, camping and fishing with his grandchildren. Harold enjoyed spending time with his family and loved when all the family could get together. He collected pop cans and enjoyed car races and his two dogs Lucky and Max.
Surviving include his wife Brenda of the home; his children Lillian Walker, Charlie Beason, Robert Beason and wife Samantha, Harold Murphy Jr. and wife Crystal, Michael James Murphy and wife Christa, Adam Lee Murphy and wife Sherry and Christopher Lee Murphy; two brothers Arliss Murphy Jr. and Vernon Eugene Murphy; 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter Elizabeth Webster.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday September 30, 2021 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home in Muskogee with Rev. Fred Igert officiating. Interment will follow in Warner Memorial Cemetery.
