Cheryl Louise Jones was born January 26 1941 to Edgar Wilson Jones and Muriel Morace Jones. She married Percy L Dodge in 1957 and they had two children Donnie Dodge (1958) and Gloria Dodge (1962). Cheryl then married Patrick Pounds "Pat" and had two daughters Cheryl Pounds (1964) and Gladys Pounds (1970). Cheryl and Pat also adopted a daughter Elizabeth Rushing (1967). Her third marriage was to Ira Sanford and the two raised a granddaughter Hollie Rushing (1991).
When I think of what I want everyone to know about my grandmother I think about her ability to make you feel safe and loved beyond measure. Her house was where everyone met for holidays, grandkids went after school and on weekends, and where family met for morning and evening coffee. She was "home" for so many!
