Pamela Baker, 80, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.

Pam was born November 5, 1940 and raised near London in her early years. She was married to Alan Baker in 1964. They moved to Long Island, New York in 1967 where they had their two children, Lesley & Martin.

After a short stay in Cleveland, Ohio they moved to Kerrville in 1975. Living in Kerrville for 44 years, she made many friends and acquaintances in the Hill Country. She enjoyed the outdoors including rock climbing, geology, botany, bird watching, fishing, Girl Scouting, making jams and jellies, and she even had a private pilot's license for a time.

She was known as the "Knitting Lady" due to her love of sewing, knitting, tatting, and pretty much anything fabric related. She spent many years working in the fabric store and showing her talents at many craft fairs around the Kerrville area.

She is survived by her husband, Alan Baker of Sweetwater; a son, Martin Baker and wife Stephanie of Sweetwater; a daughter, Lesley Wilson and husband Scott of Laurel, MS; a sister, Joy Norton of Dunstable, England; and four grandchildren, Grace Wilson, Tristan Baker, Hayden Baker, Kennedy Baker.

Her wishes were cremation. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 11a.m. at the Fourth & Elm Church of Christ in Sweetwater, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Freeman Fritz Animal Shelter, 515 Spur 100, Kerrville Tx 78028.
