Mark Alexander Dennis, 52, of West Frankfort, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
He was born September 2, 1969, in Warner Robins, Georgia, to Preston Eugene and Esther (Rogers) Dennis. Mark married Nita Kay Thompson on November 9, 2002, in Cambria.
Mark is survived by his wife, Nita Dennis of West Frankfort; father, Preston (Hilda) Dennis; mother, Esther (Charles) Crowe; daughter, Crystialyn Ashley Holt; grandchildren, Crystialyn Kyleigh Elizabeth, Matthew Paul, Mersadies Nicole, Alexis Danielle; step-children, Shane Thompson and Sonya Troutt; step-grandchildren, Tristan Price, Hayley Thompson, Jeremy Thompson, Ariana Hall, Sarina Hall, Michael Jamerson, Lilliana Kempfer, Emily Harville, Mercedes Kempfer, Cody Shane Kempfer, Jacob Price, Samantha Price, Joey Price, and Jordan Price; brother, Chris Dennis; grandmother, Hildred Rogers; nephews, C.J. and Jesse Dennis; aunts, Patricia Rainey and Pam Duvall; uncle, Robert C. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Preston and Lela Dennis, and Roy Rogers.
Mark was a supervisor at AISIN Manufacturing in the shipping & receiving department.
He was a loving husband, son, brother, father, and grandfather. Mark enjoyed spending time with his family, grilling out, playing football with his grandkids, and playing with his dogs.
Mark worked hard for everything he had. Spoiling his wife was one of his favorite past times, but watching the Falcons play was definitely in the top five. He also enjoyed fast cars and shooting guns with his second family, Darrell, Nate, Bryn, and Brian. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
