Linda Lou Clark, 65, of Burlington, died at 4:10 AM Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington. Born December 26, 1955, in Ottumwa, IA she was the daughter of Paul Evon and Joan Kelley Ryals. On November 29, 1997, she married John Clark in Burlington. In her earlier years, she assisted the Special Education program at Central Ave School, went on to work for 10 years at Midwest Biscuit and then became a full time homemaker. She was a very loving and tender person. She had a heart of gold, and was always caring for others in very generous ways. She attended Riverside Baptist Church after Pastor Charles Stevens led her to the Lord in 1994. She was very crafty, enjoyed collecting owls, loved to decorate, and her favorite color was purple. She loved her grandkids dearly, and loved her pets, Bruno, Kekee, QTip and Lucy. Survivors include her husband; John Clark of Burlington, three sons; John Clark II of Lockridge, IA, Christopher Hill of Burlington, and Shawn Clark of Stuart, IA, two daughters; Chanell (Doug) Gay of Osceola, IA, and Tracy (Jerry) Stevens of Burlington, and six grandchildren; Ryan Schilling, Triston, Taylor and Savannah Clark, Natalie and Aaron Gay, and Ruth and Olivia Stevens, two great grandkids; Khloe and Clayton Schilling, one sister; Helen (Larry) Whitmore of Burlington, one brother-in-law; Gary Clark of Effingham, IL, one sister-in-law; Judy (Clarence) West of Glendale, AZ, and one nephew. She is preceded in death by her parents, two nephews and one granddaughter. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory. The Graveside Committal Service for Mrs. Clark will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Aspen Grove Cemetery with Pastor Kyle Waterhouse officiating.
