Franklin – William Earl "Shotgun" Carr, Sr., 82, passed away on September 25, 2021 in the East Pavilion. Born in Isle of Wight County, he was a son of the late William Rossie Carr and Lois Bradshaw Carr. He was also predeceased by his siblings, John Peter Carr, Virginia Lassiter, Frank Carr, and Oneal Gray.

Shotgun was a retired Clamp Driver in the Roll Finishing Dept. at Union Camp and a farmer.

Left to cherish his memory is a daughter, Betty C. Story and her husband Wayne of Franklin; a son, William E. "Bubba" Carr, Jr. of Franklin; a sister, Florence Barnes of Carrsville; two grandchildren, Kristine Pearce and Stacy Barnes (Wesley); and two great grandchildren, Declan Pearce and John Parker Barnes.

A private Graveside Service will be held at Southampton Memorial Park.
