Carolyn Sue Knox, age 84, of Quanah passed away September 24, 2021. She was born in Crowell, Texas on October 30, 1936 to Everett Thomas and Mary Maxine Meason.
She graduated from Crowell High School in 1955 and then went to Texas Tech University where she was a "Tech Beauty." She married the love of her life and high school sweetheart Gerry Thomas Knox on December 22, 1956. They later moved to Quanah in 1962. Sue worked at both the Security Bank and Quanah Cotton Oil Mill. She was a longtime member of the Quanah United Methodist Church.
Sue was always known for her kindness and soft heart. She was as sweet a person one would ever meet, and she will forever be missed. Her compassion and love came from her knowing Christ as her Lord and Savior and she now has a home in Heaven with him.
Sue is survived by her husband Gerry and three children,
Gary(Rhonda) Knox of Vernon, Stacy(Dan) Halford of Vernon, Molly(Zachary) Choat of Georgetown, 6 grandchildren and 8 greatgrandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Crowell Cemetery Monday September 27, 2021 at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sue's memory may be directed to United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice.
