Marion J. Murphy of Windsor, beloved wife of the late Edward P. Murphy, passed away on September 21, 2021. She was born on August 9, 1925, in Springfield, MA the eldest daughter of Charles and Mary (Begley) Cullen. She grew up in Hartford and attended local schools graduating from Weaver High School Class of 1943. She met the love of her life and married in 1951 and settled in Windsor to raise their five children. Marion went back to work and worked as a Financial Administrator for G. Fox in Hartford until her retirement in 1989. Marion was a lifetime member of the Irish American Home Society and a communicant of St. Gabriel Church. She was an avid UConn women's basketball fan and enjoyed reading.

Marion is survived by her five children, Maryann Murphy Nurge and her husband Conrad, Patricia Murphy Yuska, Eileen Murphy, Kevin Murphy and his wife Jean, and Thomas Murphy; six grandchildren, Caitlin Harrison and her husband Andrew, Kelly Nurge Bogdahn and her husband Todd, Meaghan Yuska, Brianna Brito and her husband Heriberto, Ashley Milligan and her husband Gagandeep Singh, Brendan Milligan; three great-grandchildren, Ava and Antonio Brito and Liam Harrison. She was predeceased by her sister Kathleen Cosgrove.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gabriel Church, 379 Broad Street, Windsor, CT. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Marion's memory may be made to the Windsor Food and Fuel Bank, 599 Matianuck Ave., Windsor, CT 06095.
