Jimmie Alan Patterson, age 81, of Blaine passed away September 24, 2021, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. Jimmie was a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Jimmie left an impression on everyone he met and never hesitated to help a soul in need. He will forever be remembered for playing the role of a "2nd father" to many.

He was born to Robert and Mary Patterson on July 7, 1940. After graduation from high school, Jimmie joined the Air Force and was awarded numerous Decorations throughout his service while proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War. In later years, Jimmie was a Service Manager with Autohaus in Dallas Texas. Upon retiring, his Tennessee roots prevailed bringing him back home to Blaine where he married the love of his life, Patsy on April 22nd, 1995. Jimmie was a charter member of Bashert Baptist Church in Blaine, where he loved and enjoyed his church family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Patterson, his wife, Patsy Patterson, his brother Donny Patterson, and sister-in-law, Liz Patterson. Survivors include his sons Terry Patterson, and his wife Jennifer of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Jeffrey Patterson of Farmersville, Texas; grandchildren, Emily, Alissa, Logan, and Lauren Patterson, all of Ft. Worth, Texas; sisters, Gayle Barkman, and husband Wayne, Kay Roach, and husband Allen; and brother Kenny Patterson all of Blaine; and a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 29th in the chapel of Smith-Reagan Funeral Home in Rutledge with Will Cate officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 A.M. Thursday in Mouth of Richland Baptist Church Cemetery for an 11:00 A.M. graveside service. Serving as pallbearers will be Davin Roach, Brent Roach, Dusty Roach, Greg Patterson, Keith Patterson, and Logan Patterson. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. prior to services Wednesday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Richland Cemetery via Mouth of Richland Baptist Church, 1147 Indian Ridge Rd, Blane, TN 37709.
