Rock Hill, South Carolina - Mrs. Lucille "Lucy" H. Rogers, 89, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Piedmont Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Catawba Baptist Church, with Dr. Ron Richardson officiating. Burial will be private.
Born in Lancaster, SC, Mrs. Rogers was the daughter of the late Ted A. Hinson and the late Fammie Bowers Hinson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Rogers; her brother, Bill Hinson; and her sisters, Rosie Moorefield and Joyce Muenzel. She was retired from Rock Hill Printing and Finishing and the Rock Hill School District. She then went to work at Westminster Towers. She loved her family and loved serving them in any way she could. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, shopping, working puzzles, and tending to her flowers. She was a member of Catawba Baptist Church.
Surviving are her children, Calvin M. Rogers, Myra Rogers (Robin) Warren and Edward L. Rogers; five grandchildren, Rob (Heather) Rogers, Carrie (Scott) Mann, Jason (Melissa) Warren, Justin Rogers and Ashley Rogers; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; her brother, Prince Hinson; two sisters, Jo (Frankie) McNeely and Jean (Rex) Miles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Rogers' name to Catawba Baptist Church, 1450 S. Anderson Rd., Rock Hill, SC 29730.
