Timothy Gene Davis, son of William and Beverly (Kittelson) Davis was born August 12, 1958 at Sioux Valley Hospital. He grew up in Sioux Falls and graduated from Lincoln High in 1976.
Tim then entered the United States Army and served in the Army Airborne Ranger 2/75th Ranger Battalion Special Operations from 1976 until 1983. He was united in marriage to Elia Cano in Panama City, Panama. The couple later relocated to the United Sates, living in North and South Carolina, Colorado, Minnesota before settling in Sioux Falls in 1993.
In addition to the military his work career consisted of being a director and manager for various companies in their call centers.
Tim's hobbies included storytelling, and he was a published author of four novels; The Southern Cross, Day of the Ranger, Copper Penny, and Danger Elite. He was also a former long-distance runner, avid hiker, reader and historian.
He was a member of the Army Ranger Association and a local writer's group.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Mary and Janet and brother Billy.
