Joseph Winston Parker, age 59, of Resaca, GA, entered into the presence of the Lord on September 25, 2021, at Advent Health Gordon after complications from Covid-19.

He was born on December 22, 1961; he is the son of Winston and Betty Parker. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Abner and Rosie Mae Ghorley, John C. and Sybil Parker, Laura Ledford, his mother and father-in-law Walter and Bettye Patterson, and a host of other loved ones and dear friends. He loved the Lord with all his heart; he was of the Church of God faith where he was an ordained minister. He was a retired deputy from the Gordon County Sheriff's Office, where he served from 1993-2002. He loved and supported all his brothers in
law enforcement.

He is survived by his wife Alisha Parker, daughters Melea Parker and Cecilia (Chad) Fisher. His parents were Winston and Betty Parker. Special grandchildren Ty, Haley, and Cade Fisher. His sisters and brothers: Patricia (Mike), Stanley, Randy Parker & his significant other Sara Vowels, Regina (Michael) Fowler, Sam (Lillie) Parker, and Gloria (Timmy) Sanders. Sister-in-law, Alelae (Steve) Quarles; brothers-in-law, Scott Patterson and Greg (Shannon) Patterson; A host of nieces, nephews, and other precious loved ones survive. Adopted sisters: Tina Colquitt, Selina Hicks, and Tonya Hicks. Special friends Ron Mason & family, Charles Guyton, Larry
Holsomback & family, the Warren Family, and many other special friends survive.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons funeral home on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, from 11:00, am until 1:45 pm.

Graveside services to follow visitation at 2:00 pm from Haven of Rest Memorial Gardens with Ron Mason and Doug Simmons officiating and a full honor guard from the Gordon County Sheriff's office.

Pallbearers will be Cade Fisher, Aaron Epps, Robbie Bagley, Bradley Mason, Scott Payne, Ray Whittemore, and Tim Poarch.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ty and Haley Fisher, Charles Guyton, his brothers that served with him in law enforcement, and the Gordon County Sheriff's Office.
