She was a cook and server for the Superior School District for many years. Jane married Robert "Bob" Bentley on September 11, 1965 and celebrated fifty-two years of marriage. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Navy Mothers, and the Women of the Moose Chapter 795. She also was a den mother for the Cub Scouts and a Sunday school teacher.
Jane is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob"; daughter, Julie (Kevin) Norbie, Superior, WI; son, Richard (Bea) Bentley, VA; grandchildren, Amanda Norbie, Jeremy (Rhonda Jo) Bentley, Benjamin Norbie and Misaki (an exchange student from Japan); sister, June Roeben, Superior, WI; sister-in-law, Gwen Brooks, Duluth, MN and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, James.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Superior, and continue until the 11:00 am memorial service with Pastor Will Mowchan of Pilgrim Lutheran Church officiating.
