Born on July 8, 1948 in Mt. Pleasant PA, Christine was the daughter of Francesca S. and Adolph J. Corsi, of McKeesport, PA. Christine moved from McKeesport, PA to the York area after marrying. She retired as an executive assistant with the Bon Ton Department Store after 30+ years of service. Christine and Elmer were long-time Penn State fans and enjoyed traveling to cheer on their beloved Nittany Lions. Christine loved dogs and the sea, and always looked forward to quiet time spent on the beach. Both Chris and Elmer enjoyed bowling, boating and simply being together through the years.
Christine is survived by her sisters Rosella Corsi-Lord of The Villages, FL, Deborah Corsi-Jenkins of Fairfax, VA and Rita Chan of New York, as well as her nieces, Katlyn and Claire. Chris was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Adolph "Rudy" Corsi who entered into rest in August 2013.
Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion is assisting the family with arrangements.
Chris had a compassionate heart and asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Cancer Patient Help Fund, payable to: Wellspan York Health Foundation, 2500 S. George St., York, PA 17403or the Kidney Foundation of Central PA: 900 S Arlington Ave Ste 134A, Harrisburg, PA 17109.
