Jim served in the Navy Construction Battalion from 1954 to 1956. Jim moved to Florida in 1957 and worked as a Civil Engineer for the counties of Dade and Broward. He loved collecting and dealing with antiques, totally enjoyed karaoke and entertaining. He loved life and totally lived it to the fullest, he loved his family and friends, never met a stranger.
He is survived by his Son, James J. Peters, (David), Daughter, Donna M. Smith (Timothy), Granddaughter, Stacy A. Smith, Great grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley and Nathan Rogers, Great Great Grandchild, Caroline, Brother Charles Peters, (Deborah) Brother William Peters (Amy), and many other family members and friends.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
