Fairy was born in Ohio to Myron and Chloe (Priest) Dill. In 1936 she married Floyd Day who preceded her in death in 1991. Fairy worked for Jonesville Products until she retired. She also worked for Zigler's Manufacturing in Hanover and farmed with her husband, Floyd. Fairy was a member of Free Methodist Church in Pulaski. She was involved in 4-H and Willing Workers. Fairy was an excellent cook and enjoyed gardening and canning. She also enjoyed sewing, watching birds and volunteering. Survivors include two daughters, Beverly (David) Johnston of Hillsdale and Cathy Day of Hanover; one son, James (Sherry) Day of Litchfield; two sisters, Dorothy and Catherine, both of Ohio; half sister, Peach Swope of Hanover; a half brother, Donald Dillman of Jackson; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren
