Robert Owen "Bob" Huhes, 87 died May 18, 2000 in Largo, Florida at Largo Medical Center. His wife of 57 years is Thelma H. Hughes. Born in Avoca, son of the late Owen Hughes and Anna William Hughes Jones, he had resided in Kansas for Many years before moving to Florida in 1984. A veteran of World War II, he was of the Methodist faith. Prior to retirement, he was employed in the auto sales and service industry. Also surviving are a son, Bob Jr., Largo; a grandson; nieces and nephew; and cousins. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Louva Rogers, Ellen Russ, Beverly Franklin and Anna Powell; and three brothers, Orville Jones, Edward Jones and John Evans. Cremation arrangements by John S. Rhodes, East Chapel St., Petersburg, Fla.
