James Harland Sutton, age 54, of Sevierville, departed this life and entered into eternity with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 23, 2021. He was a beloved and devoted son, brother, uncle, great-uncle, and friend. He was a simple man by nature and his heart belonged in the mountains. He was a hard worker in the construction industry for over 35 years.
Mr. Sutton is preceded in death by his parents Frank P. Sutton and Eula Rhea Sutton. Special Aunt and Uncle Thomas R. Sutton and Mary Faye Sutton.
He is survived by brother and sister-in-law, Joel and Karen Sutton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Bill Williams, Pauline and Carroll Shoemaker; nieces and nephews with spouses, Janice Templeton and Derick , Billy Williams and Monika, Jodi Lamb and Chad, Amber Alfonso and James, Morgan Sims and Matt; great-nieces and nephews, Whitley and Kennedy Hoffner, Phillip and Maks Williams, Karlee, Katelyn and Julia Alfonso, Sophie and Sutton Lamb, and Owen Sims; special cousins, Linda Seaton, Lynsey and Brandon Harrison, Jackson Carroll, Teresa Sutton, Erin Rolen, Shirley and Dwayne Burchfiel, Megan and Bryant Gilson; step-children, Colby Robertson and Paige Smelcer, and their mother Michelle Sutton; special friends, Bobby Burchfiel, David Youell, Don Burchfiel, Jason Lethco, and Tim Husky.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Atchley Funeral Home to benefit the family.
