Susan Jean Young Tripp, 67, of Trenton, beloved wife and mother, passed peacefully on Aug. 3, 2019, at MDI Hospital. She was born in
Bar Harbor, the daughter of late Morris and Doris Young.

Susan taught at Pemetic Elementary, Westside Nursery and Mount Desert Elementary School. Within her 39 years of teaching and over 600 students, she was entirely devoted to each of them and their families. She spent much of her summer activities improving her teaching methods by taking a variety of classes. She loved her students. She was awarded her Master Teacher certificate in 1991 and was often known as "Mrs. Field Trip." She also loved traveling with her husband, Bruce. Her children and grandchildren were her ultimate joy.

Susan was often referred to as an angel and was known for her beautiful smile, warm hugs and compassion. Once you entered Susan's life, you were forever family and loved unconditionally.
