Ms. Linda Joyce Cox Kirby, age 72, of Adairsville, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Advent Gordon Hospital surrounded by her children.
She was born in Atlanta, Georgia, May 5, 1949, daughter of the late Tom C. Cox and Lenah Adams Cox. Linda was of the Christian faith and had worked for the Bartow County Schools as a school bus driver. She was a phenomenal cook and enjoyed scrap booking. Linda's most prized possession was her family. Days spent with her grandchildren were Linda's favorite days. She loved having Grammie's special coffee party's, cooking for them, and made sure to learn all the new things about technology so she could stay in touch with them everyday. Linda was a redheaded spitfire with a heart of gold. She was the best Mom, Grammie, Sister, and Aunt anyone could have asked for. She will be missed by many. Ms. Kirby was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lisa Kirby Peters; and sister, Angela Cox Eller.
Survivors include her children, Laurie Kirby McCrory (Joey), Ria Kirby Browning (Eric), Suzie Kirby McDougle (Dale), and Rodey Kirby (Cami); grandchildren, Whitney Frazier (Michael), Anzie McCoy (Justin), Autumn Littlefield (Scott), Lenah Coe (Bradley), Isabelle Langford (Greg), Lukas Kirby, Sara Browning, Cora Kirby, Jade McDougle, Teagan Browning, and Katie Kiser; great-grandchildren, Riley Lowman, Harvey Jane Frazier, Rucker Frazier, Oliver Littlefield, Booker Littlefield, Molly Kate McCoy, and Gentry McCoy; brother, Thomas Cox; sisters, Susan Kirby, Barbara Cox, Margie Parham (Greg), and Nina Cox-Kiser; several nieces, nephews, and all her adopted family whom she loved dearly.
