Robert Earl Todd, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, WWII veteran, artist, draftsman, actor, magician, clown and joke- teller extraordinaire, passed from this earth to meet our Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 18th at the age of 97.

He was a lover of life and shared and inspired with his creative ideas and talents, and will always be remembered for his heartwarming easy sense of humor and quick wit. His passions and list of accomplishments and contributions is endless and captivating.

He was passionate about family. He was the middle child of 5 children, born and raised in Dallas, TX. He was a husband and father of 4 children. He was passionate and loving with his family…always taking the time to share a unique point of view...point out something that most wouldn't otherwise notice, and making you laugh or smile in the process. He was encouraging, your biggest fan, and always so proud.

He was passionate about his country. In his last year of high school, he enlisted in the Navy where he served in World War II on the ship the USS PENNSYLVANIA FROM 1942-1946. Upon his return home, he married his sweetheart Dorothy Anne Todd and they remained married until her passing in 2010. He helped raise his 4 children and participated in their sporting endeavors, dance recitals, talent shows, etc.

He was passionate about the entertainment business… He acted and participated in plays and his image graced print ads, movies and commercials. He was also responsible for his children breaking into "the business"…encouraging dance, music, and acting. He loved the circus, and as a child, thought he might even work there. He juggled, rode a unicycle, and performed as Bobbo the clown a bit later in life, which led to great fun and a few broken bones.

He was passionate about his job. He was employed by Hunt Oil Company as a draftsman and graphic artist and, among his accomplishments, created the Hunt Oil Company logo, the logo for the World Championship of Tennis, Tornado soccer, field designs for the Kansas City Chief football organization, and many more.
He loved and respected the people he worked with and had kept in touch with them since his retirement. He later went on to work for Hunt Oil in Yemen in the middle east, where he and wife Dorothy were able to travel the world, and experience new cultures, meet new people (and a U.S. President), and have many great adventures.

Last, but not least, he was passionate about his hobbies…golf, miniature trains, and performing magic tricks. Many hours were spent perfecting his golf swing and he played until he no longer could. The intricate work he put in on those train boards was amazing, and he acquired quite a large train collection over the years. His magic tricks were great fun and always entertaining, especially to the little ones who didn't catch the mistakes.
