John Stephen Walters (May 9, 1951 - September 15, 2021)

Burleson, Texas -
John Stephen Walters passed on September 15th, 2021 at home in Burleson, Texas, at age 70.
He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years Nelda Walters, brother Doug Walters (Betty), sister Kim Black, daughter Adrea Walters, son Zack Walters (Margaret), Ashley McWilliams, Matthew McCaslin, multiple grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friend & loved ones.
Steve was preceded by his parents Wayne & Etha Walters and brother Mike Walters.
Steve grew up in Hurst, Texas, and graduated from L.D. Bell High School in 1970.
He retired from the Tarrant County Sherriff Department in 2019 after 15 years of service, and he remained close to many coworkers until his passing.
Steve enjoyed traveling with his wife Nelda to the Texas Coast, Florida, & Colorado. He loved sharing beautiful experiences with the person that meant the most to him. He also loved the fishing, fun-sized Snickers bars, breakfast for any meal, billiards, his most recent dog Nixon, naps, live music, and seafood.
Steve will be interred at Tomlin Cemetery in Arlington.
