Michael L. McBride, 60, of the Village of Camillus passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 21st. Born in Syracuse, he graduated from West Genesee High School in 1979. A long time maintenance worker for Frazier and Jones, he started working weekends at Anheuser-Busch in 1996. Through his hard work, dedication and diligence he became a full time employee there and rose to the position of Maintenance Tech Planner at the plant in Baldwinsville. A current village board trustee, he was a life member of the Camillus Volunteer Fire Department and a three-term fire chief. Mike received the OCVFA Red Jacket award in 2013 for distinguished service. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, traveling, and camping by making full use of the 5th wheel, He also enjoyed Sunday poker nights. All of these activities paled in comparison to his love for his grandkids. He was predeceased by his parents Paul in 1994 and Helen in 2002 and a brother J. Patrick McBride in 2018. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Diann; two sons Matthew (Jessica) McBride of Fairmount and Billy (Christine) McBride of Camillus; three grandchildren Cameron, Paige and Elliott; six brothers; Terrance (Janet), Daniel (Malissa), Thomas (Kathleen), James (Cheryl), Ted Sr., and William; two sisters; Rosemary (Niles) & Patricia, and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Sunday (9/27) from 2 to 6 pm at B.L. Bush & Sons Funeral Home, 10 Genesee Street, Camillus. Funeral services will be Monday at 1 pm at Camillus First United Methodist Church, 12 Genesee Street, Camillus. Masks will be required, Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Camillus.
